36th International and National Origami Meeting

Dear Origami Enthusiasts,

This time, our meeting will be held in Pécs on August 7–9, 2026, at the Miroslav Krleža Croatian School Centre (7624 Pécs, Szigeti u. 97).

The Mediterranean atmosphere arrives on Thursday evening: we will have chicken paella and
cooling dessert for our dinner together.

On Friday morning as part of an optional program we will go to the Grand Hotel Palatinus,
which was renovated last year. The imposing hotel built as a dream of Imre Hamerli, was
renovated last year. Gábor Sey a descendant of Hamerli will present the history of this talented
family. András Bojcsev – the hotel manager will show us the renovated building and the
wonderful Zsolnay decorations. At the end of the program the manager will be waiting for us
with coffee and soft drinks.
On Friday afternoon we will put up the exhibition materials, registration and folding will start
and we will hold the general meeting of the Hungarian Origami Circle.
At 6:30 p.m. our guest of honor Oriol Esteve will introduce himself as part of the opening
program.

On Saturday and Sunday the classes will be scheduled according to the traditional schedule. Of
course there will be an origami shop with papers and books, and a ruffle.
On Saturday evening the Flamenco Association of Pécs will entertain us. During the live music
performance we may learn some interesting things about Spanish culture.

This year's meeting will close after lunch on Sunday.
Accommodation: Miroslav Krleža Croatian School Centre in 4-bed rooms with bathrooms.
